The premium pairing of wine and chocolate
The holidays are getting closer and we love being able to pair different types of food together. One the most beautiful and classy pairing is wine and chocolate. However, the balance between wine and chocolate is very hard to find. A delicious glass of red wine with dark chocolate can taste bitter and sour if they are not well hand-picked.
We have some recommendations for pairings of wine with some of our chocolate bars.
DARK CHOCOLATE (Fairtrade Midnight Dark) – Go for a young red wine marked by fruit and light tannins.
Favorite red wine – Xinomavro Jeune Vignes
MILK CHOCOLATE (Pure Milk Chocolate Flowers) – Choose a dry, crisp white wine. Combine the aromas of the chocolates with the predominant flavours of the wine such as green apples, citrus, honey, etc.
Favorite white wine – Castelo Rodrigo
MILK CHOCOLATE CARAMEL SEA SALT – Some will appreciate the combination of sparkling wine with salted chocolates such as caramel with Fleur de Sel for a tasting on a fresh note.
Favorite sparkling – Fiol Prosecco
Now you are ready to be a professional at wine and chocolate pairing for the holidays!
